lichen

This is lichen that was growing in my yard. Lichen is a simple plant consisting of a fungus that grows sybiotically with algea, forming a crustlike or branching growth on rocks, walls, and trees.

Keratin

Keratin is a fibrous protein forming the main structural constituent of hair, FEATHERS, hoofs, claws, horns, etc. This is a feather.

Long- Day Plant

This piece of lettuce is an example of a long-day plant. Long- day plants flower after being exposed to light periods longer than a certain critical length, as in summer.

Thorn of a Plant.

This small plant I found in my yard has an example of a thorn of a plant. They are small sharp-pointed, curved woody projections from the stem of this plant. They hurt.

Stem- Woody

This tree is an example of a woody stem because it has a corky exterior and it is the main stalk of the tree.

Insect

That little black line on the leaf is a dragonfly. Dragonflys are insects, and an insect is a small arthropod animal that has six legs and generally one or two pairs of wings. Therefore, a dragonfly is an example of an insect.

Endotherm

An endotherm is an organism that can generate internal heat. This rabbit is an example of an endotherm.
