Flower Ovary

In flowering plants it is the female reproductive

This is a plant that uses wood as its structural tissue. Usually larger plants with larger roots.

Conifer Leaf

This is a conifer leaf because it is an evergreen and its leaves or needles are drought resistant.

Thorn of a Plant

This cactus is covered in thorns which are a stiff, sharp-pointed projection of the stem.

This is a woody-stem because the outer layer is cortex which is covered with corkey bark. Underneath the phloem and the green cambium layer; inside is the active xylem layer and previous annual rings of xylem.

Stem-Herbaceous

This is a stem-herbaceous because it has been modified to serve the same function as leaves.

Meristem

This is a meristem which is plant tissue that remains embryonic as long as the plant lives, allowing for indeterminate growth.

Deciduous Leaf

This is a deciduous leaf because it will die and fall off the tree after one growing season.

Connective tissue

This is an example of connective tissue bec behind the skin the tissue's function is to bind and support other tissues.

Annelid

This worm is an annelid because it's body is segmented both internally and externally.

Animal That has a Segmented Body

This hermit crab is an animal that has a segmented body because it's body is divided into segments that are grouped together to form larger functional parts.

First Time Blogger

Hi! I don't really have any idea what to put for this first post, so I'll just put a picture of something my mom and I saw under a microscope. I think it's cool because it is just air bubbles in a liquid, but they look almost mechanical. (It looks better upclose, and it was hard getting a picture with my phone through the eyepiece of a microscope.)

Happy Summer!

If you are reading this then hopefully you have successfully logged in and perhaps will make your first post soon. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. It seems many of you will be very busy and the traveling will begin soon. I would love to see pictures from your travels and this may give you practice at posting pictures so feel free to let us all "see" and "hear" from you while you are away or when you return. Be careful and be safe and I will talk to you all very soon!

P.S. Check in with me often to see if I have posted any extra credit!
